New Post If you are very depressed...
I know what depression is. I have been there. There are so many of us who suffer from this and other mental illnesses, but before the internet it was hard to get help without leaving your house to go to a meeting of some sort. Now there are hundreds of online support groups for depression, manic-depression, suicide, self-injury, abuse, recovery, addictions, etc. Here are just a few:

www.metanoia.org/suicide/ one page, you can read it in 5 minutes.

www.suicidehotlines.com/ lots of phone numbers to call. Or call 1-800-SUICIDE.

www.trappedminds.org/ a great mental health site with an extensive support network.

www.palace.net/~llama/psych/injury.html a great site for self-injury.

New Post Re: getting help
I think you can still call those hotlines if you are feeling down. They are for anyone who is near the end of their rope, not just at the end.

The thing that SUCKS about having procrastination and depression is that you put off your doctor appointments and getting your meds, even though this is the most important thing. I can't tell you how much I have put off getting meds refilled and how many times I have gone into the pharmacy and begged for 1 or 2 pills to get me through until my appointment or refill because I put it off until the very last moment.

I would suggest:

1. MAKE IT A PRIORITY -- cancel other things in your schedule and make an appointment with your Dr.

2. Admit to your doc that you have a procrastination problem (suck it up) and ask to be seen ASAP. Tell him/her that you are running out of meds and that if he/she doesnt' have an appointment, that you need a referral to see another doc. This is an embarrassing call to make but you need to take care of yourself.

3. See if there is a support group which fits in your schedule. Sometimes it can really make you feel better to talk to SOMEONE -- whether it's a 12-step meeting or something else. If you are at college, there are usually a ton of support groups that you can find out about through student health.

Hang in there!!!
